Our objective is to actively participate in the IT industry by establishing ITC Centres around the country's schools with the dual purpose of providing services for holistic profit while assisting the Youth to acquire IT knowledge so that they can all contribute towards our national development. Our immediate objective is to establish an ITC Center in our Schools in the Brong Ahafo Region of Ghana.

Structure and operations of the project:

The ITC Center will be structured on a satellite system. This system is more costly than a dialup system because of the advance Technology involved, and its superiority in terms of speed, connection and continuity. However, due to non-existing Internet Service Provider (ISP) in the area, satellite system becomes the only viable choice of connectivity for operating an ITC center.

Webafrica Technologies Ltd. will supply V-SAT satellite system networked to 30 computers plus connectivity to a-VSAT backbone in Europe/USA at a cost to the School / PTA / Donors etc apart from Internet the centre will be used for Computer Literacy Program (CLP).

When installed, the satellite system will provide The School with the unique opportunity to close up the digital divide as well in addition to its ITC Center's operations which includes Internet service, Desk-Top-Publishing and a Communication center. What this means is that the school will be in a position to sell its satellite services to prospective users within the vicinity of its satellite location by the use of wireless networking. Efficient telephone services could also be deployed using the same system thus enhancing the telecommunication needs of the school. The School stands a big chance to reap.

In addition to the above, available technology will enable ITC Center to provide telephone services via our satellite to the school.

We also involved in the setup of community FM broadcast For Information Dissemination amongst the deprived and build a platform for Interactive and free flow of information to uplift the down trodden. Donors and assistants are welcome in any form.

Current projects in need of support:

- Methodist Cluster of schools ITC centre for 1000 students and evening classes for Workers-Sunyani Ghana
- Tano South District - Community FM station - Bechem Ghana
- Presbyterian Cluster of schools - Sunyani Ghana

For other net participants we can offer overnight facilities. Further we can offer expert guidance through trained staff, give an expert opinion, deliver a lecture, procure expert information and establish new contacts in the field of our work. Other supporting possibilities: Arrange for volunteers to teach in schools especially ITC.
