MALI-HILFE is recognised as a non-profit organisation both in Germany and in Mali. Numerous self-help projects in the areas of school building, water supply, agriculture or basic medicinal provision have been realised over the last few years.
The constitution of "Mali-Hilfe e.V." stipulates "to carry out and/or support development aid projects for the benefit of the disadvantaged and needy, especially in Mali and other developing countries".
At the present time, priority is being given to financing projects in the regions of Mopti, Ségou and Kayes.
The projects are selected and suggested by the local people. The decision as to which projects will be carried out is made following factual and financial scrutiny.
Peter Brucker is the Chairman of the organisation.
