Food and Trees for Africa is South Africa's national greening organization that develops, manages and promotes greening, sustainable natural resource management and food security programmes that contribute to poverty alleviation, improved environments, capacity building and skills development, increasingly for PWAs.
FTFA works in partnership with government, the private and public sectors and civil society to improve the quality of life and environments for all communities of South Africa. Since 1991 FTFA has distributed over 2.2 million trees and helped to set up over 1000 organic gardens for the poorest in South Africa.
FTFAs mission is to contribute to a healthy and sustainable quality of life for all through environmental awareness and greening programmes.
For other net participants we can deliver a lecture in the field of urban greening, food security at schools, permaculture, climate change.
