About us

SIEMBRA (Integrated Services to Women Entrepreneurs) is a young non-profit NGO, legally registered in 1999 to support women entrepreneurs in Mexico. Our vision is to complement economic and social issues with ethics to attain human dignity. The organization manages technical, economic, and material resources with integrity, accountability, transparency and professionalism in order to provide integrated services to women entrepreneurs in the informal sector.

SIEMBRA utilizes innovative capacity-building strategies to provide Mexican women entrepreneurs with equal development opportunities and alleviates poverty by promoting economic independence and human rights in order to empower participants and to generate self-sufficiency and self-reliance.

SIEMBRA seeks to promote gender awareness through business and leadership training workshops; to facilitate women's access to savings and loan programs; to contribute to the personal, managerial, and financial development of women entrepreneurs; to help them become agents of change and gain access to the economic sector; to promote the planting (or "la siembra" in Spanish) of the collective actions of a woman's entrepreneurial organization so that they bear the fruit of creating job opportunities that will cause a positive change in their personal, social, economic, and political lives; and to combine the experience and drive of donors with the talent, knowledge, and determination of women entrepreneurs.

For other net participants we can offer expert guidance through trained staff, give an expert opinion, procure expert information, deliver a lecture and establish new contacts in the field of our work.
