Qui sommes-nous

The circle of friends Bareka is a local non-governmental organization with 30 members in South Germany. It is working with full commitment on a voluntary basis and has hardly any administrative expenses. The cooperation in the field of development work takes place in Burkina Faso, West Africa. It is concentrated on well building and agriculture, to help people to help themselves, to set up structures, cooperation with native partners and regular visits. Help and assistance which really arrive at those places where they are needed.
The circle of friends Bareka has as its objective to help people in the poorest countries of the world regardless of political orientations, religious confessions and ideologies. This shall be done according to the principle to help people to help themselves! It is expected that people are willing to get involved themselves.

It is of great importance to the circle of friends that our assistance reaches the right people without any long way around and to ist full extent! Therefore, the personal discussion on the spot is indispensable. The circle of friends wants to contribute to an improvement of the circumstances of life of the families in the developing countries in order to avoid a migration from the villages.

Burkina Faso: The departement Piela lies in the West of the country, at a distance of approx. 200 km from the capital.

The circle of friends copperates with 2 partners:

- with an outpatients´clinic in the small city of Piela, which was founded by missionaries,
- with APB, an association for social and economic development of the region around Piela and Bilanga, which is working according to copperative principles.

These partners want to shape the rural area of their native country more attractive. This will be achieved by

- an improvement of the circumstances of life in the villages, sufficient water, food, medical treatment.
- as well as education, training and advice.

As per agreement, we can also offer overnight accommodations for other net participants. We can give advice, hold lectures and procure expert information on the following fields: Burkina Faso, well building and cultivation of biological sesame.
