THE OLIVE ORISSA, registered in 2003, is a voluntary organization, non government organization (NGO), non profit charity created by like minded people who are up to making a difference in the society by working for the holistic development of poorer communities focusing on underprivileged children in the tribal villages, health care the families of tribal villages, girls & women skill development programme for rural villages and disaster management and supporting poor women in villages through Livelihood & sustainable Projects.

THE OLIVE ORISSA works for the empowerment underprivileged, vulnerable and needy sections of the society particularly children, women and youth. Our approach is to address the education, health, economic, cultural issues of the society, environment. THE OLIVE ORISSA aims to facilitate for self-sufficiency and over all development of all irrespective of caste, creed and gender. THE OLIVE ORISSA works in diversified activities like awareness creation, capacity building, skill development, sustainable livelihoods, slum development. It also provides relief to victims of natural calamities like drought, floods, earth quake, atrocities, fire.

What we do
• Child Education & Health Project: THE OLIVE ORISSA established Education & Health Care Unit for underprivileged children with the objective to support on education and primary quality health care services to the children and their parents living in tribal villages and in slums of Orissa.
• Disaster Control Programme: THE OLIVE ORISSA established its Disaster Relief & Rehabilitation Programme. The Programme´s objective is to provide immediate emergency relief and long term rehabilitation to communities in Orissa.
• Health Care Project: THE OLIVE ORISSA has taken many initiatives, such as, health camps, mobile health check up programme and health awareness programme to make basic health care a reality for the rural and tribal people.
• Skill Development Project : We organize Skill Development Projects for the poor rural girls and women.
• Tailoring Trainings: We provide training on Tailoring for the women to be self dependant and earn money to supplement their family income.
• Livelihood Projects : We have been running two Livelihood & Sustainable Projects for the underprivileged women.
• Hygienic Project for Children : The underprivileged children are regularly aware about hygienic habits with supplying them hygienic items like Bathing Soap, Washing soap, Tooth Bursh, Tooth Paste, Towel and shoes for healthy life.
• Food Relief Programme: Every month THE OLIVE ORISSA feeds over 300 tribal children in the drought and flood afflicted areas of Orissa, which comprise some of the poorest regions of India.
