Qui sommes-nous

Color Esperanza is a society founded in 2006 by volunteers who were working in Peru.
Aim:
We want to promote equality of opportunity and intercultural learning processes in order to create a welcoming culture in Germany in which encounters on an equal footing can be tangibly experienced.

Our work:
We see it as our responsibility to the community to shape a dialogue that appeals to and involves everybody in the globalized world. That's why we created the reverse program VAMOS! through which young people from Perú can choose to volunteer in Germany.
The central aim of the program is to provide young people from Perú with new insights into everyday life in Germany, thus awakening and strengthening a sense of responsibility as global citizens.
We regard the VAMOS! Program as a necessary complement to the international voluntary services that send young people from Germany to the countries of the South.
In this way, we help to discuss questions of justice at various levels. We are convinced that diversity and plurality are important values for our society. By meeting people from different backgrounds, we want to contribute to building a local "welcoming culture".
In addition, Color Esperanza gives former volunteers the opportunity to network, to work together and to continue to deal with global issues. This happens in the various working groups that exist alongside the VAMOS! Program. For example, they deal with economic, social and political issues, work on important problems creatively or get involved in administrative areas (website, public relations, etc.).
We also network with other organizations that share similar goals to drive sustainable social development.

Samuel Nann and Teresa Lang are on the Committee of Color Esperanza.

On request we can offer other net participants advice, give a presentation, and provide up-to-date information and contacts in the field of our work.
