The Lessfortunate and Needy Victims Development Foundation-Sierra Leone (LANVIDEF-SL) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization, but purely a humanitarian and Volunteer Community Based Organization (CBO) that was founded on January 6th, 2002 in Free town Sierra Leone after the brutal and psycho and social period (crisis and conflict) by Timothy G Bockarie, and was setup on January 6th, 2008 by a group of friends who had the same vision.
LANVIDEF-SL is committed to the elimination of extreme poverty in rural and slum communities in Sierra Leone through its community assistance programs. Since its inception, the primary focus of the organization has been on providing services to meet the urgent needs of women and children and other vulnerable and marginalized groups.
LANVIDEF aims to sustain and strengthen grass roots communities in slum and rural areas and works on issues related to human rights and advocacy, community health, livelihood development, education, and community development.
LANVIDEF-SL exist to eliminate human suffering and human rights abuses in rural and slum communities in Sierra Leone, with opportunities that empower people to live independent lives free from poverty, disease and hunger.
LANVIDEF envisions a free and peaceful environment for all, on a foundation build on equality, humanity, advocacy and protection.
Timothy G. Bockarie is the Founder and Organisation Manager of the Lessfortunate and Needy Victims Development Foundation-Sierra Leone (LANVIDEF-SL).
