Sobre nosotros

Save One Life is a registered nonprofit international organization that improves the quality of life of impoverished children and youth who suffer from hemophilia in developing countries through direct financial assistance. Located in Georgetown, Massachusetts, USA, Save One Life was founded in 2001 by Laureen A. Kelley, president of LA Kelley Communications, published author and a mother of a child with hemophilia.

Hemophilia is a devastating inherited blood disorder that can cause severe pain, crippling and even death when untreated. In developing countries there is usually no budget to purchase the blood-clotting medicine needed to sustain life. And for a disorder as rare as hemophilia, governments and social agencies usually cannot help.

Save One Life acts as a humanitarian bridge to encourage individuals and organizations in developed countries to to share their compassion and economic resources—offering hope, opportunity and connection to those in the hemophilia community who are less fortunate. Funds are used for child sponsorships, scholarships, micro-enterprise grants to families and support of hemophilia camps. Save One Life’s beneficiaries receive money directly from sponsors and donors—90% is sent overseas, with a small percentage given to the national or local hemophilia nonprofit organization that registers and cares for them. A sponsorship costs less than a dollar a day.
