About us

The charitable organization "Rettet den Regenwald e.V." (= save the rainforests) stands up for the protection of the tropical rainforests and supports the activities of people who take care of the environment in the tropics..

In detail, the following matters are concerned:

- Doing without wood from tropical trees
- Boycott of gold
- Deforestation caused by tobacco cultivation
- Campaigns against WestLB Pipeline in Ecuador
- Campaigns against German timber dealers in Africa.

The organization carries out e-mail protest actions on the above subjects and is the publisher of the magazine REGENWALD REPORT (= rainforest report) which comes out quarterly.

Mr. Reinhard Behrend is the chairman of the organization Rettet den Regenwald e.V.

According to prior agreement we can give a lecture for other net participants on the protection of tropical rainforests and arrange for up-to-date specialist information.
