Über uns

Association Companions for International Volunteering (ACVI) is a non-profit association for cultural exchange, voluntary work, international workcamps, associative work, humanitarian projects and solidarities tourism in Morocco.
The association organizes a variety of activities that are carried out by the members of the association and other volunteers from all over the world.

Our activities:
• international workcamps of activities with kids in a public school
Scheduled activity: In this workcamp which will take place in a school in the city center of Ouarzazate, volunteers will do activities with 54 kids divided into three groups of 18 kids each. For every group of kids there will be six volunteers: five foreigners and a member of the association. As the activity will take place in a school, the activities that kids will benefit from may contain activities in classrooms (drawing, coloring, singing….etc) as well as activities in open spaces ( bag races, ball games…...etc). A technical manager will be appointed by the association to supervise the activity. His/her task is to make things easier for volunteers and to provide all the necessary materials needed to carry out the activities.
• international workcamps of painting in a public estableshment
Scheduled activity: This workcamp is a project of painting. It will take place in a public establishment (as a school or a boarding school) in Ouarzazate city where volunteers will repaint dorms or classrooms .The project aims at giving the students better conditions of education in these establishments, a fact which will certainly have a great impact on their achievement at establishments. The workcamp will be supervised by a technical manager whose task is explain the work to be done and to provide all the material needed to carry out the project.
• international workcamps of environment (Gardening in public establishment, Afforestation in a forest or in a national park)
Scheduled activity: This workcamp is a project of environment. It will take place in a forest or in a national park,public estableshmebt in the regions of Ouarzazate or marrakech where volunteers will to garden trees and plants . The project aims to devloping this zones on level of environment and encrises green spaces. The workcamp will be supervised by a technical manager whose task is explain the work to be done and to provide all the material needed to carry out the project.
• international workcamps of teaching English and French for students (7 years to 16 years) Scheduled activity: Volunteers participating in this project will teach English and French to groups of 8 students each. These courses are either in the form of initiation activities for beginners or tutoring and consolidation for students that have already mastered the basic concepts in French and English. The activity will be supervised by a member of the association will organize the groups, controlling attendance of beneficiaries and provide all the equipment needed for activities.
• international workcamps of language camps and cultural exchange programme; Arabic Language Camp for teenagers and adults: You would like to learn Arabic? You are interested in the Moroccan culture and you would like to learn about it? Our association offers you the opportunity to do all that and more through its Arabic Language Camps which include classes of classical Arabic (at the rate of four hours a day), presentations about the Moroccan culture, guided visits, outings and excursions. Our Arabic Language Camps are open to both individuals or groups of students.
• cultural exchange programme : Our exchange programme is a project organised evry year in order to create a cultural exchange between a group of International students from all around the world and their peers from Ouarzazate city in Morocco. The programme contains many activities through which the participants will give to the community exchange opinions and point of views over different topics and get to see different perspectives of looking at things. It will also be an opportunity to dicover the area and its culture.
• Humanitarian and cultural trips: Our cultural trips are activities that aim the discovery of the cultural and natural wealth of Morocco and, at the same time, giving the association's support and aid to the areas visited according to the means the association has during every trip. These trips are managed by the members of the association but they are open to the participation of everyone wishing to take part in them within the number of seats available in every trip. For every trip, there is a specific program, showing the stages through which the trip is done and the different activities included in it, that you can get by contacting us by email.

Aims of the association:
• to promote the interest of young generations in all issues related to environment,
• to improve kids’ performance in school and help build their personalities by activities,
• rehabilitation of public establishments frequented by most of the local population (schools, youth centers, hospitals),
