Über uns
Trinity Care Foundation Uganda is a non-governmental Christian organization founded in 2010 due to the demand of the community for the widows, elderlies, disabled in the Jinja District in Uganda.
Trinity Care Foundation Uganda focuses on serving four vulnerable groups in the Jinja community: children, widows, the disabled, and the elderly.
Our mission is to help the underprivileged families to get self sustainable development.
Our objectives:
• To help the underprivileged families in the community
• To uplift the standards of living of vulnerable children, widows, elderly, and disabled in the community
• To empower the community with necessary skills, income generating activities through agriculture and tailoring
Programs:
• Agriculture Learning Center: Our Center is training farmers, primarily women, in sustainable agriculture and animal husbandry techniques. It has also introduced new crops and breeds to farmers. As result, there is increased food security and job opportunities. In order to teach them business skills and increase their income. Once the women become financially literate, it allows them to remain business owners so that their children can receive the education they deserve and families can obtain sufficient access to food and nutrition.
• Education: We have a hope to set up a school facility if we get sustainable donors. We provide materials such as uniforms, books, transports, depends on what we receive. We offer free online computer classes.
• Spiritual Teaching: Church comes in and we train children. We also do bible studies with them on some of the weekends. Church contribution is spiritual. The church provides spiritual guidance.
• Tailoring Program: By learning, village mothers can properly clothe their families for a fraction of the cost of purchasing newer textiles. They can also use their skills to sell handmade items.
Mpyangu Waiswa Sharif is the Head of the Board of Trustees and Coordinator of Trinity Care Foundation Uganda.
