About us

Faradgang implements bicycle-related projects in Cologne and Berlin and is a non-profit association founded in 2014, whose members work on a voluntary basis.

We seek to offer people self-determination, freedom and a better quality of life through mobility.

What we do
• We collect bikes, we repair bikes, we give away bikes.
• On what we call our “mechanic days” - in Cologne once a week and in Berlin every two weeks - needy people can repair a donated bicycle together with us, learn basic bicycle maintenance skills and build a relationship with their own bicycle from the very first moment.
Other Projects:
• Garden Cross in Cologne: Charity Adventure Cycling & Cyclocross - donations go to other non-profit organizations in Cologne. So far, donations have gone to: Citizens for the Homeless, Centrifugal Cologne Refugee Center and Auf Achse e.V..
• Toolgirls* in Cologne - A workshop by, for and with Flinta: The project offers a private and protected space in which those interested not only have access to the bike, but also have the opportunity to learn the basics of screwdriving with the exclusive Flinta support learn.
• Self-help workshop in Berlin: Together and with the Princess Gardens, we run a self-help workshop at irregular intervals.

Du Pham is the chairwoman of Faradgang.

On request, we can provide advice for other network participants, give a presentation, and provide current specialist information and contacts in the area of our work.
