Qui sommes-nous

It all began with a dream of a community garden - a place where our passion for herbs would have a home. By talking about the dream, supporters were found and Together Green was founded in 2013.
Together Green stands for inclusive education, garden design/care and the cultivation of herbs and fragrant plants. Since the association was founded, cooperation and networks with Leipzig initiatives, clubs and companies have developed. A seedling has sprung up from the seed. Through continuous care, Together Green has now grown into a fragrant young plant.
What we do
• At Together Green, people with and without disabilities work hand in hand in all areas of work.
• We are on the way to making Leipzig more barrier-free and inclusive. Since spring 2019, we have been building SALVIA – the barrier-free educational garden in the east of Leipzig. Here we are realizing our
dream of a community garden (forest garden), of larger areas for growing herbs and of learning areas for schools and kindergartens.
• We are currently dreaming of an inclusion company. Our goal is to create even more jobs for people with and without disabilities in the SALVIA educational garden.
Projects:
• Our common garden: This project aims to encourage the participation of people and families with a refugee and migration background by helping to design a community garden. Joint activities in the garden encourage exchanges related to intercultural activities, diversity and sustainability.
• SALVIA educational garden: We are building a barrier-free garden where people with and without disabilities work, learn and grow herbs together. SALVIA - an educational garden for EVERYONE - is being built on the 4,000 square metre site of a former set of allotments near the Leipzig-Engelsdorf S-Bahn station which had suffered from neglect. There are: display and cultivation areas - At SALVIA, visitors will find display and cultivation areas for a wide variety of plants. A focus in cultivation is on herbs and aromatic plants. Learning spaces for young and old are being created on the plot, where knowledge about plants and their communities as well as various insects and soil creatures can be acquired.
Barrier-free raised and hill beds - Barrier-free raised and hill beds invite you to garden together. Workshops on the variety of scents and use of herbs, insects (bees) and inclusive topics round off future offerings;
Our forest garden - The forest garden will soon invite you to join communal gardening in the tree, shrub and herb layer. The various biotopes in the forest garden can be used as a green classroom or as
observation areas. We try out different cultural techniques (permaculture, terra preta, raised bed cultivation);
Our bee area - There has been a barrier-free bee area on the SALVIA site since the 2020 season. Here, we show how barrier-free beekeeping can work.
• Edible palm garden: We would like to garden together with you. This is how our city can be experienced and eaten. We use public space for this - the beautiful palm garden
