About us

Bastille – Together we stand is an association of people from East and West who use their varied experience to help the handicapped. It is an association which is open for people with any form of handicap.

We want integration and the protection of the dignity and uniqueness of each individual. Together with those affected, we want to develop and implement new concepts.

Bastille – Together we stand has been providing sheltered accommodation in a friendly, family atmosphere since October 1999. Under the guidance of experienced and qualified social education workers, the residents learn to live together, within the limitations of their abilities. Apart from supervision, each resident is provided with an individual development plan, by which handicap deficits are reduced and life skills are taught and practised.

What we offer:
• sheltered accommodation
• residential communities
• preparation for residence
• get-together café
• leisure activities: cycling group, supervised holiday travel
• work with parents: parents' café, parents' opinion poll

Henry Bütow is the president of Bastille.

On request we can offer other net participants advice, give a presentation, and provide up-to-date information and contacts in the field of our work.
