Über uns

Caring Hearts (CAHE) is a Non-Government Organisation that was founded in May, 2022. It is registered legally by the Tanzania Ministry of Gender, Elderly, Children and Development in accordance with The NGO’s Act Number 24 of 2002 with aims to respond to the injustices and health emergency crises facing communities in the Tanzania Mainland in order to address social injustice, right to health violations, and lack of access to essential social services that people continue to face.

Vision
Communities where youths, children and their caregivers are empowered to improve their own livelihood through appropriate and affordable alternatives.

Mission
Restoring hope among youths, vulnerable children and local communities that have been affected by early marriage, poverty, quality education, child abuse, violence, diseases and other natural calamities.

Our Objectives
To provide a holistic transformation of young people and disadvantaged communities by offering training, empowerment and exposure to life-changing innovations.

Thematic areas:
• Human Rights: In this area of focus CAHE seeks to create communities that uphold human rights, justice and the rule of law. Here the mission is to promote and protect human rights by assisting the vulnerable and marginalized people in our communities to access justice through civic education, advocacy, legal advice and assistance.
• Environment: The focus is on protecting the most fundamental things that nature provides for us: food, fresh water, our livelihoods, and a stable climate. CAHE seeks to work with government, non-governmental organizations, international agencies, business leaders, and people on the ground to implement real solutions to climate change related problems.
• Social Protection: The focus is on helping individuals and families, especially the poor and vulnerable, cope with crises and shocks, find jobs, improve productivity, invest in the health and education of their children, and protect the aging population. Through social protection programs CAHE seeks to empower people to be healthy, pursue their education, and seek opportunities to lift themselves and their families out of poverty.
• Gender: The focus is on engaging women and men of all backgrounds in our communities in gender equality and tries to build and improve the practice of engaging all sexes in achieving gender justice. It also advocates for policy changes on key issues where gender directly affects the lives of women and men at local and national levels.
• Community Empowerment: The focus on this is that CAHE engage in multiple activities towards sustainable community development. Capacity building in different areas like teaching youths on making positive decision making assist the community to become empowered.
• Education: The focus is on ensuring that every child from socially and economically marginalized families access quality education and decrease the high dropout rates. As most students in Tanzania do not have access to the knowledge and skills that will make them part of the productive economy in tomorrow’s workforce, through this focus, CAHE aims to bridge this gap.
• Health: The main tasks of CAHE in the health system are providing services and health advocacy. CAHE is focusing on communities and therefore dealing with specific health issues such as alcoholism, promoting health rights, performing preventive health programs, and managing health finance and administration.
