About us

Mlekwa Child and Youth Organization (MCYO) is a registered non-profit community based organization (CBO) with a registration number MCC/CD/SHG/481, based in Mwanza region north, Western Tanzania founded in 2019 by Thomas Ardoph, a teacher by profession, with the aims of providing holistic and quality education to most impoverished children in Mwanza and promoting them and their families to breakout from the cycle of poverty.
MCYO is located and operating in Nyegezi, a suburb 20 minutes from Mwanza city center.

We strive for a community free from poverty, ignorance and diseases.

Our mission
To empower impoverished Children and youth to have hope and opportunities through facilitating accessibility of holistic development and quality education.

Our programs cater children and youth from 5years old to 20 years old, some of these children comes from a very poor background and others are orphans who either lost one or both parents.
The program provides a holistic early childhood education and development (ECDE), primary and secondary education.

Our general plan
• Starting a Kindergarten and a preschool for Children from 3- 5 years old.
• Starting an English medium Pre and Primary School for Children from 5 – 14 years old.
• Starting a secondary school for Children and youth from 15- 18 years old.
• Starting a vocational training institute for Children and youth out of school system (School drop outs).

For other net participants we can offer an expert guidance through trained staff, give an expert opinion, procure expert information and establish new contacts in the field of our work.
