Qui sommes-nous

Wildlife and Environmental Protection of Trinidad and Tobago (WEPTT), founded in 2015, is a registered non-profit Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) that aims to raise awareness and provide public education about the wildlife in the republic of Trinidad and Tobago. The organization also partakes in the rescue, rehabilitation, and relocation of wildlife.

Thus far the organization has grown to a capacity where it can make an impact in the distribution of public education of the Wildlife and the Environment of Trinidad and Tobago through documenting and providing content, both online and via various media, on our local species of flora and fauna. WEPTT’s drive to educate the public focused on the social media platform and can be accessed at “WEPoTT” on Facebook and “WEPTT” on YouTube.

Our subjects cover the environment and everything that contributes to it, be it animals, trees, or even human involvement.

What we do
• Our organization travels across both islands of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, in person, documenting and providing content, both online and via various media, on our local species of flora and fauna.
• Our organization has been extremely active in the rescue of animals in danger, injured or those that have wandered deep into urban areas.
• We have cared for and rehabilitated many damaged animals, with injuries caused by human factors, from forest fires to freak accidents.
• We have made it a point to relocate every animal taken into our care, and to do so in an environment that gives them the best possible chance of survival and continuance for its species.
• We are also heavily involved in efforts surrounding the legislation and future of Trinidad and Tobago through various governmental, non-governmental, national, and internal committees with our collaboration and partnership with the Council of Presidents of the Environment.

Kristopher Rattansingh is the Chairman of The Wildlife and Environmental Protection of Trinidad and Tobago (WEPTT).
