About us

Since its foundation in 2015, the German-Namibian association "Tangeni Shilongo Namibia" serves children, youth and families exclusively in Namibia. For this purpose, the association has implemented three projects in Namibia: DRC School Project & Community Centre, OPEN DOORS Education Centre (ODEC) and the OPEN DOORS Scholarship Program.

The association focuses on educational projects and the creation of equal opportunities in Namibia. The main target group is children and young people from low-income families who are denied a good school education due to a lack of financial resources. In order to achieve the goal of equal opportunities for children and young people from different financial backgrounds, the association invests in the creation of institutional infrastructure and places emphasis on high-quality education.
