Mission
Improving the quality of life of elders who are living at home with family members or alone.

Objectives
• Empower the elderly to overcome their weakness, social isolation and feeling of being abused.
• Acknowledge the elderly achievements, value their roles, and support them to attain their rights.
• Mentor the elderly families to acquire the necessary skills for caring and answering the elderly needs.
• Create opportunities for encounters and connection between the elderly and youth in Lebanon.

What we do:
• Club: Kibarouna launched its first social club in 2004 in Baskita and opened afterwards another one in Bhersaf in 2008 and later in 2014 in Bikfaya. The club receives every week around 50 elders from the regions surrounding the clubs and offers to them a ride from their homes to the club and vice versa. In the club they can enjoy spending their day socializing with peers and doing diversified activities. These activities aim at integrating them further in the society and making them feel loved and empowering them to overcome their weaknesses, social isolation, and feelings of being marginalized.
• Summer Camping: Kibarouna lauched its first summer camp in 2006 in Ajaltoun and have been organizing ever since, summer camps every year. The camp receives around 50 persons who get the chance to spend a week in a decent, comfortable, warm and welcoming place where they get to forget about their stressful conditions and get the best medical, social, psychological, beauty assistance from specialists. In addition to that, they get served by students from the nursing faculties of Notre Dame University and Saint Joseph University and enjoy doing diversified activities as well as trips around Lebanon.
• Grandparents Day: Each year, on the last week of June, Kibarouna celebrates the Grandparents’ Day on a national level in a huge event with around 1000 grandparents coming from around 40 NGOs and care centers from all around Lebanon. The yearly event is animated by famous celebrities, singers, and dancers. It aims at emphasizing on the importance of grandparents within the families and consolidating the bonds between grandchildren and grandparents.
• Health Care: Kibarouna aims at promoting the healthy standards of living of its elderly. Thus, it organizes awareness campaigns in collaboration with doctors and medical centers in order to detect chronic diseases and for prevention purposes and early treatment.
