About us

When the association was founded in 2006, the international integration association Perspective consisted of a handful of “late resettlers” who realized that young immigrants from the former Soviet Union were often disoriented in their new environment and that they threatened to decline socially.

Our goal is the integration of young people and young adults of different origins and to support them in our society. Our primary goals are to introduce them to meaningful leisure activities, improving their social skills, strengthening their self-confidence and motivating them to be personally involved.

Our work
• It has become increasingly important for us to stand by young people in their professional orientation. Since 2012, a focus of our work has therefore been practical vocational orientation and the introduction to training in a manual job. For this we operate a trial workshop on the Heuchelhof in Max Mengeringhausen Street. This is supported by
the social department of the city of Würzburg, in Germany. There is a bicycle workshop, a tailoring workshop, a carpenters’ workshop, a creative workshop and a kitchen. Here, the young people can get to know the different activities and materials and can try them out.
• Project “ALEQ! Active Local Learning" in cooperation with and sponsorship of the Chamber of Crafts: A social worker and a workshop leader work with young people from the pre-graduation and graduation classes in the workshop, in cooperation with the middle school Heuchelhof and the Adolph Kolping School. The aim is to accompany and constructively shape the transition from school to employment and training. For this end, the young people receive advice and assistance when looking for a job, help with applications as well as training and qualification in preparation for the requirements of the companies.
• "Project PIA Würzburg" young people with a migration or refugee background are offered
support on the way to taking up suitable vocational training.

Alexander Himmrich is the founder of Perspective and workshop manager.

On request we can offer other net participants advice, give a presentation, and provide up-to-date information and contacts in the field of our work.
