Über uns

Helen Taylor Thompson founded the organisation Education Saves Lives in 2000 as a response to the growing numbers of people being diagnosed with HIV, with the aim to inform people, in their own language, about disease prevention.

Now, the charity provides simple, interactive health education to organisations all over the world. As well as HIV, the lessons teach about Malaria, addiction, the importance of safe water and healthy eating, TB, immunisation, and many more topics. Any organisation can request the DVDs FREE OF CHARGE from the Education Saves Lives website.

What we do: We create simple, interactive lessons about health and other topics to help people live more safely. Our interactive lessons include a combination of information and questions, illustrated using relevant still or moving images.

Our DVDs are free for everyone and we have 34 lessons available in up to 65 languages. For regions with stable internet access, our lessons are available to watch online.

Who we work with: We collaborate with health authorities, community groups, street children’s societies, health clinics, faith groups, schools and individuals.

Our impact: Since 2012 we have sent over 185,000 DVDs to ountries all ovr the world. Our lessons have been seen by millions of people in countries throughout Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe and South America.

You are invited to request DVDs for use in your project via the links above.

Rachel Butt is the Director of Education Saves Lives.

For other net participants we can establish new contacts in the field: Health education. Volunteers with good language skills are needed to help make the lessons more widely available. Please contact us to find out more.
