Babul Films Society, founded in 2012, is a registered non-profit NGO based out of Hyderabad. In a democratic set up, awareness is the key to live and progress sustainably; Babul Films works to spread knowledge among ignorant and push the aware towards action.

Vision:
Realise a sustainable society with more environmental awareness and less negligence.

Mission:
Spread awareness about Environment, Biodiversity and Sustainable Development using short videos & social media in addition to traditional advocacy methods. Use cinema for outreach.

Objective
Babul Films Society is formed with the object of promoting awareness about Environment, Biodiversity and Sustainable Development using short vidoes and various ICT tools.

Activities:
• Babul Films makes independent short films & digital media for environmental protection and promoting sustainable development. Relatively short but visually stimulating, informative movies, socially engaging media messages are a great medium for raising awareness. They impact change.
• We promote advocacy campaigns using various ICT tools and Social Media.
• We use latest technology to control budget & rigidly follow the code of best practices in sustainable film-making & Green Filming.
• We offer guidance on idea, concept, script development, budgeting, shoot planning, casting, coordinating talents & technicians, shooting, editing, adding music and packaging, legal formalities etc..
• We also promote your film in national & international film festivals.

Programs:
• FunDuChallenge: FunDu Stands for Fundamental Duty of the Constitution of India. We all enjoy Rights but many do not know that we have Fundamental Duties also. Citizens are morally obligated by the Constitution to perform these duties.
• EcoDic: Online Eco Dictionary
• E-Library: ‘E’ in E-Library stands for not only ‘digital’ ‘soft copy’ but also for ‘Environment’. eLibrary is an effort to make available books about Environment all at one place in digital format so that Nature lovers find it convenient to read and refer to them. In this direction, we are bringing to you the Books Written by T. Vijayendra, fondly called Viju. This series contains all his writings including his latest book ‘Vijutopias’ written in Oct 2020.
• BEFF: Babul Eco Film Fest is an annual International Environment Film Festival that happens in June at Hyderabad followed by travel editions elsewhere. BEFF #babulecofest21 has following components: Short Film Contest of less than 5 min duration; Eco Film Screenings Non-competitive screening section that showcases critically acclaimed global eco films; Ecosystem Restoration Non-competitive screening section that showcases films made on the World Environment Day 2021 theme ECOSYSTEM RESTORATION.
