About us

Joint People Development Organization (JOPEDO), established in 24.08.2020, is a non-profit organization from Tanzania dealing with socio-economic development to marginalized people.

Vision
A society with respect to women, children and people with disabilities.

Mission
Strengthening capacity building and advocacy to the valuable group for accessibility of their rights and dignity.

Objectives
• To mobilize marginalized people to participate fully in the struggle for socio economic development in the large community.
• To cooperate with the government and non-state sectors within and outside the country in service delivery to the community of marginalized people.
• To analyze the needs of marginalized people and participate in planning, implementing and evaluating such services as education, health, culture, training, rehabilitation, employment as well as other services deemed important to the them
• To lobby to the government and its instrument to implement national and international decisions regarding the growth and prosperity of marginalized people for legal rights restorations.

Our work
• Strengthening legacy and Human’s right for the target groups.
• Establishment of legal clubs for close implementation and supervision of the planned activities.
• Empowering women and people with disabilities in terms of economic and social need accessibility.
• Conducting regular training to enhance level of understanding and knowledge of their right.
• Cementing level clubs to be active to activate the restoration of human rights for the target groups.
• Conducting lobbying exercises to legal authority so as to realize the reality of violence against our target groups.
• Strengthening communication network between our target members, legal club members and legal Authorities for smooth support for our beneficiaries.
• Conducting fundraising activities to support the vulnerable groups towards economic employment.
• Building a strong monitoring and evaluation committee for efficiency and ability to activate promptly.
• Reports to be made available to the stakeholders and beyond, purposely to understand the level of operations (prons and cons) and future plans.
• Direct support to the vulnerable groups to access the available opportunities to achieve the economic and social services.
