About us

“Heghine Sheikha” Children's Advocacy non-governmental organization was founded was founded on the 27th of February, 2015. Heghine Movsesyan was elected as "Heghine Sheikha" Children's Advocacy ngo's President. On the 18th of March, 2015, the ngo was registered by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia.

The mission of "Heghine Sheikha" Children's Advocacy ngo is to support as many children as possible in realizing their dreams and becoming leaders in the sphere of life that they choose!

What we do:
"Heghine Sheikha" Children's Advocacy Ngo provides a systemic, effective, replicable and scalable solution to the improving of the quality of the English language in Armenia.
Furthermore, “Heghine Sheikha” model unlocks social skills and life attitudes which are necessary in the 21st century, by encouraging students’ leading processes, initiative taking, teamwork and decision-making, whereby the students exchange and support each other and promote positive change through learning circles.
Our approach is one of the educational innovations in the developing world which is aimed at peaceful coexistence. The model has inspired the community of Vanadzor city so much, that the number of the ngo students has increased. "Heghine Sheikha" Children's Advocacy ngo has more than 100 beneficiaries now.
"Heghine Sheikha" Children’s Advocacy Ngo, in cooperation with Team ARMENICA, has implemented "Heghine Sheikha Afterschool" program mainly sponsored by American philanthropist Gerald Appelstein, since 2018. "Heghine Sheikha Afterschool" provides academic education for leadership promotion and life skills in the 21st century.
We offer a curriculum rich in languages, literature, financial education and crisis management, grounded in the pedagogical principles and methods of reticulist, PC Volunteer A22, Steven M. Greenberg. Thanks to Steven, cultivating creativity and critical thinking in our schoolchildren, aged at 7-18, 100 children, in Lori Region, in the Republic of Armenia, we do our best to instill an enthusiasm for studying, skills in collaboration and the confidence to engage in a changing world.

Heghine Movsesyan is the President of Heghine Sheikha" Children's Advocacy ngo.

For other net participants we can offer an expert guidance through trained staff, give an expert opinion, procure expert information and establish new contacts in the field of our work.
