ANK is a non-governmental and non-profit making organization (NGO) based and working in Delhi, NCR, rural areas of Bihar in India. ANK is a Hindi word which means "Digit" in English. The journey of ANK as a registered NGO began in 2004. ANK was established by like-minded people to provide education to the underprivileged children, to build better lively hood opportunities for the rural and underprivileged urban youth, to enrich quality health services for adolescent girls and women.

We at ANK dream of an India with a vision where no child remains deprived of education and go to school and are provided with proper healthcare and shelter.

Our mission is to empower economically backward children through knowledge, health care, education, vocational training and commitment and the right set of values to take it forward.

What we do
• Education: ANK has a very comprehensive education program that focuses on the developmental age of children and on the socio-economic milieu under which they exist. The philosophy of our organization is based on the belief that each child deserves an equal opportunity for holistic development. Our Learning Centres (LCs) seek to ensure quality education, higher retention in the primary school, and reduction in school dropout rates. The prime objective is to attain universal elementary education in the project area. The program is envisaged to provide the children with basic education with a focus on retention of learning and developing a positive attitude towards education.
• Skill Development - Livelihood Enhancement through Skill Development: ANK has been running vocational skill development programs since 2006. Our centres are running immersive, practical oriented courses where hands on learning is the basis. These industry designed courses have wide acceptability among recruiters and also provide skills of basic entrepreneurship to the trainees. ANK is currently running skill development programs in Electrician Training, Basic Computer skills, Spoken English Classes and Retail and Hospitality Training.
• Women Empowerment: We started a Rural Project on Skill Development for Women Empowerment at a village named Khatana at Dadri, Uttar Pradesh. The name of the project is "Project Arya. The project is aimed towards upliftment of the society vis-a-vis providing exposure to the downtrodden youth and underprivileged women by imparting soft skills training and vocational training to enrich their capabilities for an independent and bright future. The centre is one of its best kind and is well equipped with a computer lab that has 10 desktops with high speed internet. The beneficiaries are provided with the basics of computer education e.g. M.S-Office, Paint, Notepad, Internet Surfing and the like. The other course that we offer is Cutting and Tailoring. We have 10 sewing machines for the course and women are taught from the basics of stitching to dress making in both theory and practical classes extensively with one of the best experts from the fashion designing fraternity.
• Health: There are regular health camps conducted in each Ank center every quarter of the year. Children are scanned for Disability, Ophthalmic issues, Dental Issues and general health issues such as nutritional deficiencies etc.
• Sports: We organize annual sports meet in which around 1200 underprivileged children participates from different NGOs along with employees from our partner corporate. We promote sports as a preferred CSR activity for the corporates. Our annual sports meet is an athletic meet for underprivileged children from other NGOs from Delhi/NCR.
• Agriculture: ANK has been extensively working in the field of agriculture since 2015. We have been working with the farmers of rural Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand in providing technical support, guiding farmers in choosing the best quality seeds for cultivation in the farm, as well as help them in soil testing process. Our main strength lies in building marketing linkage between the producer and the consumers.
