About us

Malema Foundation Tanzania (MFT) is an indigenous Public Interest Non Government Charity Organization (NGO) established in 2017 for the pursuit of creating awareness and providing responsible solutions to various socio- economical, cultural and environmental problems facing various societies in urban and rural areas. The overall goal of MFT links with that of the Government of Tanzania mainly poverty alleviation in underserved communities in rural and urban areas of mainland Tanzania through capacity building for self-employment for improved livelihoods; improved health through good nutrition, environmental health, safe water supply and food sanitation; sustainable resource use and management for sustainable livelihoods. The Head Office of the Foundation is located at Morogoro Municipality. The Organization primarily works in the following districts of Morgoro region namely Morogoro Municipal, Gairo, Morogoro Rural, Mvomero, kilombero and Kilosa Districts. Regional wise the Foundation is working in Iringa, Dodoma, Coast, Tanga, Mwanza and soon in Mbeya, Arusha and Kigoma.

The vision of the Foundation is “to have a well developed Tanzanian Communities with better Welfare”.

The mission of Malema Foundation - MFT is to “contribute to national development by facilitating socio-economic development of marginalized grassroot-communities by unleashing their highest potential for a better welfare and living standards”.

MFT Objectives
• Raise awareness on the promotion of community socio-economic based projects. Support to Primary, Secondary, Vocational and Adult Education, Youth and Women Economic Empowerment, Enterprises development, Entrepreneurship and Business training to Women and Youth both in and out of School as well as Promotion of Community Philanthropic spirit.
• Promote Climate Smart Agriculture to Marginalized Youth Women and Children. Training and awareness creation in Climate Smart Agriculture, Ecological Organic Agriculture, Youth and Women Agricultural groups formation and formalization, Training on Modern farming methods, Installation of green and screen houses and Drip irrigation.
• Provide awareness to communities on the fight against preventable diseases and any other human health problems. Child Nutrition and the fight against Malnutrition, Promotion of Better Child and Maternal Health, Youth Reproductive Health Rights including people with Albinism, Provide preventive awareness on HIV/AIDS, TB and Diabetes.
