The Purnima Foundation (TPF), registered in 2013, is a non-profit charitable trust that serves as a resource for people, organizations, and institutions in the Republic of India.
The Purnima Foundation (TPF) was established as an organization to act as an innovative driving force for the upliftment of poor and underprivileged communities in our society with a vision of creating space where every community can live in a safe and peaceful social environment, fulfilling all basic need of life and grow within the vicinity of environmental and economic sustainability.
Our unwavering pledge is to emphasize environment conservation, climate change adaptation, education for underprivileged children, and enhancing livelihoods for deprived communities and to strengthen community organizations for ensuring environmental and socio-economical sustainability. Foundation has more than seventy associates in five project areas in the remote villages of Sundarbans and Sundarbans fringe areas in West Bengal, India. The intervention of TPF in an urban location is primarily directed towards education, environment conservation, health & hygiene, and sanitation in underprivileged clusters.

The mission is to provide support to the disadvantaged communities by strengthening the capacity to act for sustainable development.

Our goals and objectives are to:
• Reduce poverty and injustice
• Promote equality in educational opportunities across different economic strata
• Reduce human suffering through access to quality medical and nutritional care
• Create and support local programs for environmental protection
• Provide opportunities for empowering women in both rural and urban centres
• Enhance opportunities for social contribution by elderly people
• Advance human achievement

Our work:
• Education for underprivileged children: The Purnima Foundation established 3 free coaching centre to enhance the educational ability to underprivileged children under the banner of The Purnima Academy
• Adolescent reproductive & sexual health programme: The goal is to ensure gender equity and to reduce gender-based violence, substance abuse, and help adolescents to develop life skills that will ensure safety and happiness in the future.
• Creation of income opportunity for deprived women: The aim of the program is to expand access to environmental and energy services for poor women for poverty reduction, economic growth, and environmental sustainability.
• Sustainable management of rural and urban environment: The objective of the program is to aware individuals and social groups to take responsibility through acquiring knowledge, developing attitudes, skills, and abilities to address real-life environmental problems.
• Facilitating health and nutritional support: The Foundation organized annual food, nutritional supplement, health care products, and sanitizers mainly in the rural and slum areas of West Bengal.
• Improved sanitation programme in Slum Cluster: The aim is to improve the quality of life for poor slum dwellers by providing knowledge and creating awareness on improved sanitation, and waste management practices for better health.
• ABHA Helpline: psycho-social counseling: The aim is to create a reliable and non-judgmental platform for people with emotional and psychological distress
