Sobre nosotros

Our foundation stone was laid in 2014 with the construction of several wells and the initiation of various aid projects in Togo. By founding the non-profit association “Helping Hands Africa (HHA) we are focusing on Africa and trying to help people sustainably on one of the richest and at the same time poorest continents in the world.
We have the highest demands and are always working to improve our work qualitatively and functionally. We carry out and monitor all project phases ourselves. We are currently mainly active in Morocco and Togo. Ghana, Nigeria, Egypt and Gambia will follow shortly.
The aim is to help the poorest in every country in Africa to lead a sustainable life by securing basic rights.

Project categories:
• Support for orphans and the poor
• Water projects (drinking water supply)
• Health projects
• Educational projects
• General emergency aid
• Helping people help themselves

Projects:
• Ramadan packages: Children, widows, orphans and people in need in general are happy every year not to have to worry about how to break their fast during the month of Ramadan. A parcel feeds a needy person all month long.
• Health projects: Unfortunately, a visit to the doctor is not possible for many people. Health insurance as we know it is not available in many African countries and unfortunately they do not have any basic standards in terms of hygiene or sanitary facilities. We provide access to health care.
• Help for self-help: We are convinced that even the supposedly weakest person has the potential to build a life in dignity for themselves and their children on their own - and that this is the only way to achieve sustainable development. Sometimes the first step is the problem. We offer people an opportunity to train and provide them with working material. Only in this way can and will development take place in the long term.
• Clean drinking water: Many people, including children and old people, spend many hours every day fetching water from streams, lakes or puddles. This water often contains germs. Every minute, four children worldwide die from the effects of contaminated drinking water. Children, especially girls, do not go to school because they have to cover many kilometres every day carrying heavy water cans. To counteract this, we are setting up central drinking water points.
• Sponsorships: We arrange sponsorships for children who live in poverty, whose parents are overwhelmed with caring for their children, or whose parents have died. We want to enable children in Togo and soon in other countries to have an easier life and an education.
