About us

A Group of young people with disability in 2005 decided to start SAMA Foundation as non profit organisation. We are based in Bangalore and we directly work across Karnataka and partner with similar organisation across South India. At present we are addressing the health, education, livelihood and advocacy in 5 backward districts (Dharwad, Gadag, Haveri, Bagalakote, Chitradurga) in North Karnataka, covering 150 villages and in 10 slums of Bangalore North-West. So far we have been able to reach more than 2000 People with disabilities.

SAMA Foundation aims to develop a society where ‘all are equal’ meanings all are free from hunger, poverty, discrimination and exploitation. As a voluntary organisation Sama will be managed and its programs implemented by a team of people with disabilities.
