About us
Teens For Safe Cosmetics, as the campaign was originally called, launched in January of 2005. Teens Turning Green (TTG) is a student led global movement devoted to education and advocacy around environmental sustainability, personal health, and socially responsible choices for individuals, schools, and communities. Through student-led education, awareness-raising, and advocacy,
TTG works to empower and engage youth on high school and college campuses to become informed, active, and mobilized citizens. Our goal is to transition the way they live their lives from conventional to conscious.
Programs
Our programs focus on relevant themes that resonate in daily life, on school campuses, and in local communities. These programs create awareness around the impact of actions, inspire change in habits, and mobilize youth around the implementation of healthy, sustainable, and just practices. We develop strong platforms and projects, events and initiatives, and engage students globally, to be the change.
• The PGC Conscious College Road Tour: The Road Tour is a cross-country bike, fly, drive adventure, led by the TTG team, stopping at 10-12 college campuses across the United States. The tour is designed to create awareness and inspire students toward a greener college lifestyle experience, through a multifaceted approach.
• The Freshman Green 15 Project (FG15): This is a campaign designed to introduce incoming freshman to a sustainable college lifestyle.
• Project Green Spa: This is an interactive on campus student hosted event to inform, educate, demonstrate, and inspire a conscious change in the daily use of body care products.
• The ReStyled Collection will travel school to school and includes looks from eco-designers, repurposed and upcycled items, second-hand and recycled styles, as well as swapped and shared pieces.
• Project Green Dorm (PGD): This PGD program is designed to inspire students to green their packing list and college lifestyle as they prepare for school.
• Project Green Challenge (PGC): The Annual PGC is a 30 day global call to action for high school and college students to transition from conventional to conscious living during the October.
• Ethical Paper Challenge: This initiative will invite schools to transition their use of paper on campus from conventional to 100% recycled PCW.
• Cleaning green – Make the Switch is about reducing toxic exposures in living spaces and on school campuses to ensure human and environmental health.
• Eco Top Chef Martin: This program will inform students about healthy food, ingredients, and sourcing.

For other net participants we can offer an expert guidance through trained staff, give an expert opinion, procure expert information and establish new contacts in the field of our work.
