About us

YuvaLok is a not for profit NGO, “Investing in Lives” of underprivileged street and slum children, rescued child labourers, tribal children, girl child and disadvantaged women since 1993.

Our vision
To empower each child and young person fulfill his/her highest potential, to live and work with dignity, hope and compassion.

Our mission
Investing in Lives of underprivileged children and young people with compassion through holistic care, education and developing vocational skills.

Our Purpose
• Education to the underprivileged children primarily for street children, children of migratory labourers, economically poor children and youth below the poverty line both urban and rural.
• Health and Wellness to all children in our care and to other needy NGO’s with similar programs like ours, YuvaLok provides nutrition through porridge and mid-day meals thereby meeting 2/3rd of the daily nutritional needs of each child.
• Provided successful training in Sustainable Livelihood Skills through Vocational Training specializing in tailoring and beautician course for disadvantaged and economically poor women. Through agriculture for our students parents who are farmers and for the local community (Rural).
• Community Development in the areas from where our children come from more need-based.

Through our sustained and progressive intervention to see transformation in the community and our beneficiaries empowered economically and socially.

YuvaLok’s mission to “invest in the lives” of the underprivileged children and young people with compassion through holistic care providing education, nutrition and developing vocational skills is an ongoing progressive and scalable program. The program of YuvaLok reduces poverty and challenges gender inequalities and improves the social and physical environments. Our service to the local community focusing on breaking the generational poverty and the effects thereof is primarily through education and nutrition.
YuvaLok delivers holistic educational services to meet people at their point of need. The age old trusted method of education being the main arm to break the generational poverty, is one of the main interventions YuvaLok Foundation puts to use to emancipate them from their poverty. With this mandate with us we press on with our objective of providing wholesome quality education to these beneficiaries through our education program. The organization has expanded its range of services to meet these needs wherever and whenever possible.
The visibility of malnutrition constrained us to provide for the child's nutritional needs for which we have a nutrition program in place meeting 2/3rd of the child's nutritional need each day. The unhygienic living conditions and ill-health has been a challenge for us to intervene in the community and since we lack infrastructure in this area we network with other like-minded NGO's, to provide the basic help.

Sustainable livelihood programs cater to the needs of the many who are unable to progress in the area of education due to various challenges and the scope of economic empowerment through such skill based programs helps them to learn sustainable trades which gives them economic independence through gainful employment.
