Sobre nosotros

Fruitful Orphanage and Day Care Center was established in 2014 by Isaac John Sumary, who is also the director of the Center. It is located on the outskirts of Arusha, Tanzania and currently supports around 70 children who lost one or both parents through poverty or diseases. All children in need are supported by the orphanage, regardless of their tribe, religion and gender.

Our vision is to create a peaceful society where everyone has access to food, water and education.

Aims:
• to provide shelter for orphaned children
• to supply food, water and sanitary facilities for orphans
• to sponsor orphans and support their physical and educational growth
• to offer each child equal chances

Our future plan
• purchase our own land for centre improvement;
• put all kids through nursery, primary school, high school and a college degree;
• teach the children computer skills to better their employability;
• have access to a doctor for regular check ups and treatment;
• have some projects e.g: cows, chickens;
• build a home for staff near the centre;
• have a library for our children to access;
• care for children's extended family;
• reaching out to orphans or disadvantaged children in the broader community and providing support; and
• educating the importance of creating change in local communities.

Programs:
• Sponsor a child: At the orphanage our children are taught by college students to gain first skills in english, swahili, mathematics and science as long as they are too young to go to a primary school. Our wish is to send as many kids as possible to the boarding school Blue Sky here in Arusha, which is connected to the Nelson Mandela University. It covers 7 classes and educates the children in Swahili, Mathematics, English, Science, Geography, Sports, ICT, Visual Skills, Politics and Religion.
• Volunteering: What we offer is accommodation for 8 volunteers, breakfast, lunch and dinner and great experience. Daily work of the volunteers is teaching, playing and taking care of the children; cooking, cleaning and helping our mamas and supporting us in our new school project.
• Fruits and Love Safari: We offer Safari tours for our volunteers and visitors to our beautiful national parks in Tanzania. 10 percent of your payment will go directly to the Fruitful Orphanage and Day Care Center. This way of booking a Safari is a great solution for both sides: You immerse into the beautiful nature of Tanzania with all its animals and breathtaking landscapes. At the same time, you support Isaac and the kids at the Fruitful Orphanage.
