Qui sommes-nous

"Akuma for Africa" means: A heart for Africa. We, a group of drum enthusiasts, have joined together in Akuma for Africa, founded in March 2014, to achieve two goals:
• We want to support the needy, especially providing schools and orphanages in Ghana, while promoting Ghanaian culture. For this we were already active before the founding of the association and have collected diligently. Mr. Acquah will be sending a transporter full of goods (computers, screens, keyboards, printers, clothes, exercise books, water boxes, writing utensils etc ...) to Accra.
• We will realize our second goal through our inauguration festival by hosting an African Afternoon / Evening with live performances by well known drummers/ dancers, a bazaar, African food and lots of examples of the African lifestyle.

The goals are to be realized in particular through the organization and implementation of cultural events, support for various projects in Ghana in the form of the promotion and, if necessary, the construction of schools and orphanages, as well as donations in kind and money.

Projects:
• Construction of the Vocational School in Agomeda: we aim to build a Vocational School with 3 buildings in about 3 years. We are starting with the construction of the school building, so that we can quickly teach tailoring to teenagers in Agomeda and its surroundings. Subsequently, an administration building and dormitories are to be built. We recently received the architect's plans. A planning team has been set up by our partner association "Akuma for Africa" in Ghana, which will project manage the construction.
