Kids for Peace

Kids for Peace, founded in 2006, is a global 501 (c)(3) nonprofit that provides a platform for young people to actively engage in socially conscious leadership, community service, arts, environmental stewardship and global friendships. Kids for Peace has launched over 300 interconnected chapters around the world. Through Kids for Peace projects and programs, youth of all socioeconomic backgrounds are empowered to become part of positive solutions leading to a healthy and harmonious planet.

Vision
Our vision is a safe and peaceful world where all people respect and care for each other and our planet. Kids for Peace serves as a model and inspiration for creating this reality with children leading the way, not only for today, but for generations to come.

Programs
• The Peace Pledge Program: The Peace Pledge Program is a global chapter-based program that empowers kids to put our Peace Pledge into action in ways that are culturally relevant and personally meaningful. We provide free peace curriculum to parents, educators, and NGO leaders who wish to teach kids peace by fostering their innate wisdom.
• The Grandfriends Kindness Project: An intergenerational project for youth and seniors to come together, connect and complete fun acts of kindness.
• The Great Kindness Challenge: The Great Kindness Challenge is a positive and uplifting program that creates a culture of kindness in schools, communities, and the world. Using a 50 item checklist, schools and families are challenged to complete as many acts of kindness as possible.

Campaigns
• Kind Coins Campaign: The Kind Coins Campaign is an annual unifying service project to respond to communities in need.
• The 2020 Kind Coins for Mexico Campaign is a unifying service project to help build a school and friendship center in Tijuana, Mexico.
• The 2019 Kind Coins for Liberia Campaign is a unifying service project to help build a health clinic in Paynesville, Liberia.
• The 2018 Kind Coins for Hurricane Relief Campaign was a direct response to the devastating 2017 hurricane season. Leading with kindness and compassion, the students & families who participated in The Great Kindness Challenge wanted to help, and the idea of building four new playgrounds at schools in hurricane-impacted communities in Texas, Puerto Rico, Florida, and Louisiana was born.
• 2017 Kind Coins for Pakistan: As part of the 2017 Great Kindness Challenge, we invited students and Kids for Peace members to help build a school and peace center in a remote village in Pakistan.
• 2016 Kind Coins for Kenya: As part of the 2016 Great Kindness Challenge, we invited students and Kids for Peace members to help to build a school in the remote village of Mikei,
• KenyaDoItForPeace is a global experiment activating a critical mass of 1 billion people to shift global consciousness and make peace a reality.

Jill McManigal is the Co-founder and Executive Director of Kids for Peace.

For other net participants we can offer an expert guidance through trained staff, give an expert opinion, procure expert information and establish new contacts in the field of our work.
