About us

Accelerating Community Empowerment (ACE) is a non-profit organisation, founded in 2015 and thriving to make a positive and sustainable change in the lives of children coming from underdeveloped areas. ACE is registered in the USA and UK and has opened ist first community development center (Tio Lino, named after a cvommunity activist) in the Rocinha favela, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Mission
ACE is accelerating existing local social leaders. We motivate and empower both future generations and their predecessors. ACE helps break social barriers and provide the necessary tools and investment, inspiring students and social leaders to be the change their communities need.

Vision
Our vision is to be a global reference for connecting, sustaining, educating and inspiring the 3rd world.

ACE was born in the favelas of Rio de Janeiro. The love and determination found in these communities are what shaped who we are and what we aim to do.

The goal of ACE is simple. Accelerating current social leaders, and inspiring those of tomorrow. ACE works with favela residents and social entrepreneurs to inspire and empower the next generation.
ACE helps to provide structure and stability to local social leaders. By offering our space and a salary ACE empowers and connects those who want to make a difference in their communities and in the lives of the next generation.
Our model empowers local social leaders from the favelas to inspire the next generation. The ACE community center offers extracurricular activities to youth in the community. All classes offered are chosen and taught by social leaders from the favela.
