Fondation Kana

About us

Fondation Kana is a private, non profit humanitarian organization. It was legalized in March 16, 2009 but had been active for almost 7 years back in 2010. It aims to sustain the work of Mrs Suzanne Kana who dedicated her lifetime to helping disadvantaged people, especially orphans and disabled people.

Our goals
The organization wants to be a North-South interface and a forum for social matters and self development.
Its motto is ''ACTION - JUSTICE - DEVELOPMENT''.
It aims to:
• Caring for the vulnerable people (women, children, the elderly and disabled);
• Promote the culture of justice, peace, and respect for human rights;
• Raise awareness and promote the culture of entrepreneurship by strengthening the capacity of vulnerable people;
• Facilitate the integration and/or social reintegration of vulnerable persons;
• Encouraging, supporting and strengthening the capacity of organizations concerned about social development;
• Promote the improvement of the quality of health through the fight against STIs, HIV / AIDS and other chronic diseases;
• Promote the protection of the environment through the extension of the use of new technologies.

Activities:
• Education: The education is the key to success in the society. the schooling of orphans, disabled women and underprivileged persons represents not only instruction and knowledge but also an opportunity to improve their social status, a reduction of their marginalization. That is why the foundation rewards the best pupils of every level in schools of diverse regions of Cameroon through its program Best and brilliant student. We also help teachers, pupils, and deprived schools by offering new black boards through the project Black board for schools, by putting a coat of paint on old ones, by distributing a minimum package towards the teachers for a better supervision and a better preparation of the courses for the pupils. Fondation Kana also participates in seminars organized by institutions working in the social field.
• Health: Fondation Kana generally contacts institutions for young people and schools to educate or animate days of sensitization on this theme. Thanks to the knowledge and to the know-how of our special educators as well as to the interactive exchanges, Fondation Kana educates society and incites the populations to ask questions and to discuss subjects relative to the health.
• Environment: Since 2008 project Sun at school sensitizes pupils on the questions of protection of the environment. Sensitize, inform, advise and train in the questions of the environment, renewable and non-renewable energies; Let young persons to know about the current problems related to the environment and also show them possible solutions specifically in the field of renewable energies.
• Sponsoring: In reception facilities, certain children need an additional help because what bring the government and the other institutions is not sufficient. Fondation Kana comes to help certain persons by paying their school expenses, their medical prescriptions and by relieving their everyday life. The beneficiary children of this help are Orphans with or without institutional relation, handicapped persons with or without institutional relation and other vulnerable children.

William Nouboussi Fedjo is the General Coordinator of the Foundation Kana.

For other net participants we can offer an expert guidance through trained staff, give an expert opinion, procure expert information and establish new contacts in the field of our work.
