Qui sommes-nous

STIBB – The Social-Therapeutic Institute of Berlin-Brandenburg – has been registered in Brandenburg since 1991 as a free and non profit-making organisation, providing a youth welfare service in the area of preventative and intervening child protection, offering advice on upbringing, family counselling, aid to victims and acting as a disseminator. The organisation opened the State of Brandenburg’s first child protection centre in 1993.

The trans-regional Counselling Centre has its headquarters in Kleinmachnow. The “Star Childrens Club” and the branch “House of Prevention” in Potsdam belong to this Centre.

There are sociologists, psychologists, teachers, social education workers and social workers in STIBB’s multi-professional team. They all have therapeutic or other additional qualifications. Legal, medical and scientific advisors are used, too. The counsellors, who have many years of experience, work in-house, covering various areas of responsibility, and act as a network which can be called upon when needed.
