About us

Dhartee Development Society (DDS Pakistan) was set up in June 2007 as non-profit organization to advance socio-economic status of people who are deprived of unfair power structure, injustice and inequality.

Mission
To conduct research studies and advocacy campaigns to facilitate the community based organizations working efficiently on environmental issues, to design , implement programs to generated resources for support development action.

Vision: DDS envisions a society based on social justices & peace and earth free from hunger, degradation, injustices and any form of biasness.

DDS Focus
DDS focuses on conservation, alternative eco-livelihood and sustainable development through educating and empowering the local and indigenous communities that live in Indus Region-Pakistan.

Promotion and protection of livelihood resources, human rights including women and children rights, gender equality, and sustainable land management are fundamental objectives of DDS activities.

Our work
Dhartee Development Society (DDS) strives to enable people and institutions to rethink their development objectives in relation to their natural environment. It works on converting risks into opportunities through exploiting resources in sustainable manner sensitization, realization and mainstreaming while focusing on preparedness and mitigation rather than response and rehabilitation.
This sector is subdivided in following programs
• Climate Justice and resilience livelihood Program
• Basic Education and Child Rights Protection
• Women Empowerment and Gender Justice Program
• Wildlife and Natural Habitat Conservation Program
Dhartee Development Society (DDS) facilitates communities in developing sustainable livelihoods, educates them regarding the climatic changes that occur and their role to participate in mitigating measures and to organize disaster risk reduction committees and help them to improve water and environmental sanitation.

For other net participants we can offer overnight facilities. Also we can offer an expert guidance through trained staff, give an expert opinion, procure expert information and establish new contacts in the field of our work.
