Qui sommes-nous

One Child’s Village, a registered Canadian Charity, is a Global Orphans Foundation. We are a non-governmental, non-religious charitable organisation whose main goal is to provide support for HIV/AIDS orphans and the impoverished communities within which they live in the developing world. We identify the children of the world as among the most vulnerable members in our global family and believe that service rendered to children is the most sacred.
As an Edmonton-based charity, each donation received is directed toward our special projects in support of the children and their community. We also provide presentations and talks to schools in Canada with the aim of bringing awareness to needs of others less fortunate in the world and to inspire the younger generations to engage in the work of overcoming the conditions of poverty in the world.
One Child's Village aims to provide the conditions, training and resources needed for the physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual well-being of children affected by the negative influences of HIV/AIDS. These necessary basic resources include food, clean water, sanitation, education, medicine, and physical and emotional security.

Projects:
• New Latrines: One Child's Village sponsored the construction of new latrines at the Kawangware Children's Center.
• The Kawangware Children’s Center (KCC): We provide a full array of support to over 200 children at the Kawangware Children's Center school in the Kawangware slum of Nairobi, Kenya.
• Teachers’ Wage: Our goal is to provide teachers with a fair income so that they can easily manage their lives
• Providing school uniforms, books and other educational needs to orphans.
• Medical Support For HIV/AIDS Orphans
• Food For Thought Program
• Developing a volunteer program.
• Ensuring sustainability through income generation projects for the school.
• Supporting the childrens' caretakers through our 'Head Start' program.
