About us

Halisi Perspectives is a nonprofit association founded in February 2017.

The aim of the association is to give children of impoverished families in Kenya access to education.

Halisi is the Kiswahili word for real. The name of the association thus describes our intention: to create real perspectives for children who are less privileged. We believe that education is the right way to achieve this goal.

The association is the result of a private funding project by Lisa-Marie Schmidt (first chairwoman), which began in December 2012

Project:
To help children in Kenya to attend school: We believe that education is the best way to support people and societies and improve living conditions in the long term.
For this we collect donations in Germany, which are used to finance education for disadvantaged children in Kenya. The donations are administered in Kenya by Josephine Nyarai Mwania. Together with her son Scott, she ensures on-site that the funds are transferred to the respective schools and school supplies are purchased. She also organizes transport for our sponsored children to the schools.

Jonas Winter is on the committee of Halisi Perspectives.

On request we can offer other net participants advice, give a presentation, and provide up-to-date information and contacts in the field of our work.
