About us

“Niemandsland” (No man's land),founded in 1987, is a non-profit organization promoting a social-ecological lifestyle. It is a project workshop. There are several buildings on the club grounds that we run collectively so that people can meet there and work on their projects. Nomansland is open to members and guests every day.

Aims
• To build and promote an ecological living, working and self-governing community
• To promote the principle of decommercialized coexistence
• To seek the greatest possible ecological compatibility of everything we do

Our tasks:
Ecology
• To promote manageable economic areas and fthe protection of nature and the environment.
• To oppose the nuclear industry, chemical poisoning, exploitation of natural resources,
• To oppose unilateral globalization and the biological manipulation of humans, animals and nature.
Health
• To promote natural ways of life through a healthy diet and high spirits.
• To oppose the poisoning of air, water and earth, our food and livelihood.
Social
• To promote tolerance, acceptance and compassion in dealing with people.
• To promote the development of an interpersonal network in neighbourly contact.
• To oppose intolerance and racism, as well as the worldwide impoverishment of whole sections of the population.
• To promote transparent and fair pricing through the active involvement and participation of consumers in the community's economic activities.
• To develop regional contacts between producers and consumers.
• To oppose mass consumption and the related quality and price manipulations.
Creative
• To create and open up intellectual freedom in cultural and artistic fields.
• To promote neighbourhood-friendly music in Nomansland.
• To organise exhibitions, events, seminars, lectures and the like.
• To oppose the mental misery caused by global media companies.

Projects
• Eating in Nomansland: cooking and enjoying a nice lunch and dinner: homemade and organic, vegan (vegetarian) and also macrobiotic.
• Wood workshop: building and designing in wood, as well as bow making with natural materials.
• Bicycle workshop: bicycle self-help workshop.
• Permaculture Working Group: For all people who are interested in permaculture, urban gardening and guerrilla gardening. The people active here are pursuing further initiatives beyond Nomansland.
• Pottery workshop
• Free Shopping: Bring with you what you do not need and take what you want. Without money, without exchange.
• Free concerts: We have a large function room for up to 70 people. It is only suitable for the warm months, as it is unheated.
