Venu Madhuri Trust (VMT) is a non-profit organization for integrated, sustainable, rural development established in 2001.

We shall strive with sincerity, to promote integrated, sustainable rural development that is based on traditional, time-tested wisdom, which aims towards local self-sufficiency with special emphasis on preservation of indigenous breeds of cattle and which foster the highest human values.

Our goals are promoting activities which are in harmony with the environment and which lead to healthy and sustainable development. The focus is on rural areas where majority of the Indian population live and where natural resources are either untapped or exploited. It works in Ramanwadi district of Kolhapur district in the state of Maharasthra with offices in Mumbai and Kolhapur.

• Annamrit - Mid-day meal programs
• Animal husbandry

Rahul Deshpande is the Project Coordinator of the Venu Madhuri Trust.
