Sobre nosotros

The non profit-making organisation “Ugandahilfe Kagadi” (Aid for Kagadi, Uganda) was founded in 1997 in order to tackle child poverty in Kagadi and the surrounding area, by building, maintaining and further developing a Children's Home.

Today, 64 needy children live in our Home and attend the nearby primary school. What is more, we support our school leavers through sponsorships, so that they can attend secondary school and we try to get them into vocational training. Ugandahilfe Kagadi gives these children from disadvantaged backgrounds a chance to break the spiral of poverty, unemployment and violence and thus to participate in the development of Uganda.

Our aid is oriented towards local needs and we work closely together with local inhabitants. Our project partner Is the Catholic Parish of St.Mary, Kagadi.

As a spin-off to our project, a handful of permanent and temporary jobs have been created, so that not only the children but also the whole region can benefit. Volunteers wishing to spend some time with the children in our Home are very welcome.

Robin Böhm is the president of Ugandahilfe-Kagadi.

On request we can offer other net participants overnight accommodation. We can also offer them advice, give an expert opinion, give a presentation and provide up-to-date information and contacts. .
