Sobre nosotros

The Schwetzingen Tibet Aid Association was founded in 1989 and pursues exclusively charitable purposes.

Our goal is to help Tibetan children and adults in need, especially in Mussoorie in northern India and in Nepal, to support them financially and morally in such a way that they can become economically independent.

In cooperation with our local partner, the Tibetan Homes Foundation
• we guarantee long-term educational opportunities for children and young people
• we enable elderly Tibetans in exile to lead a decent old age
• we support urgent projects for health and sustainable improvement of living conditions
• we support cultural projects outside the influence of China
• we support a Buddhist nunnery in Nepal

What we do
• We mainly help children with their school education through personal sponsorships. We also support students and young adults in their studies or in their vocational training by means of scholarships. We also arrange sponsorships for needy elderly people in order to secure their livelihoods.
• In addition, we help with the financing, construction and maintenance of an infirmary, children's and old people's homes, nunnery, schools, etc.
• If possible, we also take on the financing of urgent projects - with a focus on our Tibetan partner organization "Tibetan-Homes-Foundation" in India and in the Khari monastery in Nepal.

Projects:
• Refurbishment of the sewage system in the Rajpur retirement home (2022)
• Acting Workshop at the Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts - TIPA
• Khari nunnery, Solu Khumbu/Everest region, approx. 3,500 m: reconstruction, maintenance and medical care -
• School Library: For over 20 years we have been helping to expand and update the school library of the Happy Valley Tibetan School (Tibetan Homes School) and now the Rajpur Branch School.
• Medical help for our partner organization Tibetan Homes Foundation (THF).
