Pro dogbo is a non-profit recognized non-governmental organization based in Kleve. It was founded
under the name "Projet Maison Dogbo" in 2002 by Klaus von Briel. The name was changed to "pro dogbo" in 2005.
True to our motto "Strengthen. Educate. Support", the focus of our project work is on school
and training assistance in the municipality of Dogbo, Bénin. Numerous volunteer members and friends are committed to pro dogbo and collect money and donations in kind for the project work in Bénin, which enables numerous young people to get an apprenticeship and opens up new opportunities in life for them.
The project work on site in Dogbo, Bénin has been carried out by our partner organization “Education Service International “–ESI. ESI was registered under Benin law in 2010 and is
recognized as a non-profit-making non-governmental organization (NGO).
We are committed to children and young people in Benin / West Africa. In our project work we focus on the following;
• School and training aid
• Promotion of initiatives in child and youth work
• Political, societal and social education work for children and young people
“Education is the best vaccine against poverty.” (Sir Peter Ustinov)
Our educational projects in Dogbo in Bénin include our own training companies as well as the
Financing of school visits and external training, the construction of new schools and social and
career counselling. Other projects to promote sport, culture, political education and HIV / AIDS
sensitizations are also part of it.
