Qui sommes-nous
Our non-profit organization Kinderhilfe Benoite e.V. promotes the education of children in need in Benin. We finance school supplies for the children as well as school fees.
We are convinced that education is one of the greatest gifts and that a successful school education is the prerequisite for a fulfilling life. Unfortunately, there are still far too many children around the world who cannot afford to go to school or can only do so with great difficulty. Benin is no exception in this regard. We want to support children in Benin who, through no fault of their own, were not born into financial wealth.
We collect monetary donations. Every euro counts, and even small amounts can achieve a lot.
Our association is also represented locally in Benin, firstly to propose children in need for our support projects and secondly to ensure that the money is used for the specific purpose.
Currently, our biggest fundraising events are our solidarity parties, where we collect as many donations as possible at least once a year, which then go directly to our projects. Our solidarity parties are designed to reflect Beninese culture and offer guests the opportunity to experience Beninese culture. Beyond that, it is also very important to us to contribute to intercultural understanding between Germany and Benin.
Projects:
• Awareness project against sexual harassment in schools
• Donation of computers to a school
• Visit by Kinderhilfe Benoite e.V. to the Avogbanna orphanage in Bohicon, Benin
• Weltwärts project in Benin
• Food donation on Pentecost Sunday to our partner orphanage, Orphelinat Cité des Anges
Planned projects:
• Furnishing classrooms (including chairs and tables)
• Construction of school buildings
• Construction of wells for our partner orphanages
Jean-Marie Ayikpe is the founder and chairman of Kinderhilfe Benoite e.V.
Upon request, we can provide consulting services for other network participants, give presentations, and share current technical information and contacts in our field of work.
