Qui sommes-nous

Marginalized Inclusion Network (MIN) is a non-profit organization registered in Somalia under the Ministry of Interior and Internal Affairs.
Marginalized Inclusion Network (MIN) was established on 10th October 2016 to contribute to efforts to find solutions to challenges facing marginalized, Minority, and vulnerable populations in Somalia through promoting Human Dignity and Inclusive Humanitarian Assistance to help local them rebuild their lives following decades of internal conflict, strife, and climatic shocks.

We envision a thriving Somalia where every individual is empowered to live with dignity, pursue their dreams, and actively participate in the growth and development of our nation.

Our Mission
Our mission is to protect and uplift the human dignity of marginalized, minority, and vulnerable populations to foster social and economic progress.

Our programs:
• General Protection: MIN aims to support Protection Monitoring to identify Protection concerns/human rights violations of the vulnerable IDPs and conflict-affected people in the target locations through the protection monitoring system.
• Gender-Based Violence: MIN aims to strengthen case management through direct service provision for survivors of gender-based violence (GBV) and immediate lifesaving assistance to vulnerable populations through comprehensive case management and psycho-social support (PSS), including emergency care, referral to medical teams.
• Child Protection: MIN aims to support girls and boys to have adequate access to child protection services and are protected from violence, abuse, neglect, and exploitation at home and in the community and ensures that affected children are receiving appropriate support through the case management process.
• Education: MIN aims to support community access in a dignified way while coordinating with government ministries and other stakeholders focusing on quality education. In its programs, MIN will focus on children from the most vulnerable, marginalized, and minorities.
• Health and Nutrition: MIN aims to improve and promote sustainable nutrition and the provision of primary healthcare services to vulnerable communities by targeting child health and maternal health to save the life of expectant women / pregnant mothers and infants.
• Food security and livelihood: MIN aims to improve the living conditions of the most vulnerable community members through the provision of conditional and unconditional cash transfers which can empower economic and skill development in minority and marginalized communities.
• WASH: MIN aims to improve access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene facilities the minorities, internally displaced persons (IDPs), and vulnerable host communities in Somalia, through working with institutions like schools and health facilities in order to address the challenges of water, sanitation and hygiene in the respective communities and ultimately restoring the dignity of the affected populations.
• Camp Coordination: MIN aims to improve and ensure that internally displaced persons (IDPs) have equitable access to services such as humanitarian assistance and protection to improve their quality of life and dignity. Additionally, MIN aims to support the improvement of site maintenance and site monitoring capacities to improve the living conditions of the IDPs and minority communities and where applicable with of cash for work activities.
• Shelter and NFI: In the immediate aftermath of a disaster or crisis, MIN provides options that support emergency shelters to ensure the affected population has a safe place to stay. These include Shelter NFI to strengthen affected shelters during the crisis.
• Cash Working Group: MIN plays a crucial role within the Cash Working Group (CWG) by actively engaging in the cluster's activities. MIN's primary focus lies in providing cash voucher assistance to marginalized and vulnerable groups. Additionally, MIN contributes significantly to coordination efforts, capacity building initiatives, advocacy campaigns, standardization efforts, and fostering learning and innovation within cash-based assistance programs. Moreover, MIN actively participates in risk management strategies and ensures accountability measures are in place to enhance the overall effectiveness, efficiency, and accountability of cash-based interventions within humanitarian settings.
