Doro Blancke has been involved in the field of refugees and migration since 2015 and has built up a large network over the past few years. With her organization Flüchtlingshilfe Doro Blancke, she supports people on the move in various ways.

Our vision
We want to support, accompany and connect. To make our contribution to peace and good coexistence.

Our mission is to help people on the move.

Activities:
- In places like Lesbos, Chios, Samos, Calais, etc. we network to support local NGOs financially, logistically and also with personal commitment in their work and also to bring them together with like-minded people in Europe. We believe in the WE.
- On the other hand, we also want to report on the atrocities in these places and at Europe's external borders. To be one of the voices of people in greatest need.
- At the same time, together with other NGOs in Austria such as Asylkoordination Österreich, Diakonie, SOS Mitmensch, Caritas, Volkshilfe, FairnessAsyl and associations and communities, we also want to stand up for the rights of people on the run and for improved living conditions. This includes support for integration into our society, the demand for fair asylum procedures and independent legal advice during the procedure, but also networking with people on the run and those entitled to protection with Austrians and people who have already been living here for some time.

What we do:
- Help on the ground: We work on the ground to help people in need in the hotspots in and around Europe in their daily struggle for survival. We do this both ourselves and by providing financial support to local NGOs.
- Promoting dialog: The topic of flight, its causes and its consequences must not be hushed up. The ugly images of this world must be made public so that we can talk about them together and find solutions.
- Legal work: We provide legal support to refugees by mediating initiatives and lawyers and at the same time taking action against unlawful acts such as deportations to war-torn countries.
