About us
Care At The Core of Humanity (CATCH) is a non-government organisation registration number PVO 35/ 12 with a mandate to enhance access to justice for children in contact with the Law in Zimbabwe. CATCH was formed in the year 2007 however it began this work in October 2010 responding to the dire situation of children in conflict with the law who were deprived of liberty in various institutions in Zimbabwe including the prisons, police custody, remand prison and those who were already going before the courts. CATCH headquarters are found in the capital city of Harare with eight branches nationwide that also fight for the rights of children and against Gender Based Violence and have helped over 3000 children with legal aid and psychosocial support services.
The organisation utilises a socio-legal model that ensures every child receives legal advice as well as psycho-social support.
